Pavisa was born in 1890 in Mombaroccio.
Ciro Pavisa is one of the most active sacred art painters in the Marche.
Already at the age of thirteen he attended the Urbino School of Art.
In Urbino his teacher was Luigi Scorrano, a disciple of Domenico Morelli, then in Rome he was influenced by the divisionism of Giovanni Segantini and Gaetano Previati. Having obtained the qualification to teach drawing and the license for pictorial decoration, he began teaching in various cities in Italy. In 1931 in Pesaro he obtained the professorship at the current State Institute of Art "Ferruccio Mengaroni"
The bond with his town and with his Sanctuary always remained strong despite living and living in other Italian cities, calling himself, especially in the last years of his work, "Ciro Pavisa da Mombaroccio".
He died in 1972.
