Friedrich Berzeviczy-Pallavicini, also known as Federico von Berzeviczy-Pallavicini, was a versatile artist: painter, graphic artist, interior designer and set designer Austro-Hungarian naturalized American. He was born on April 12, 1909 in Lausanne and died on November 11, 1989 in New York City.
His life and career
- He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna, later working for the Wiener Werkstätte, an important Viennese art institution.
- In 1938, he emigrated to Italy for political and personal reasons, adopting the name Federico Pallavicini.
- He later moved to New York, where he obtained US citizenship and worked as an art director and interior designer.
- She collaborated with well-known brands such as Helena Rubinstein and managed the windows of the famous Demel pastry shop in Vienna.
His works and style
- Berzeviczy-Pallavicini is known for his decorative works, characterized by a romantic and imaginative style.
- He created illustrations, theatre sets and costumes, as well as designing interiors and shop windows for Demel.
- His work was influenced by the Viennese artistic environment of the 1920s and 1930s.
