Marcello Piacentini (1881–1960) è stato uno dei più influenti architetti italiani del XX secolo, protagonista dell’architettura monumentale del periodo fascista. Attivo tra anni ’20 e ’40, ha realizzato edifici pubblici, università e piani urbanistici, con uno stile razionalista e classicista al servizio della propaganda di regime.
